Solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery. Our sun is in a bit of strife. Solar flares seem to come in cycles and Scientists believe that the Sun tries to wake up and end the long period of the minimal activity. Scientists are concerned that what is now the low sun spot activity cycle might be 40% higher than normal at the peak activity level. But, worst of all what that might mean come 2012?
Scientists are saying the sun is entering a period of more intensive solar flare activity that may disrupt GPS satellite signals in the near future. Solar activity is expected to peak in 2011-12 after a decade of low activity. Solar Cycle 24 is regarded to have commenced January 2008, and on average will reach its peak of maximal sunspot activity around 2012. The period between successive solar maxima averages 11 years and the previous solar maximum of Solar Cycle 23 occurred around 2000. NASA has said that the sun is due for a big one around 2012. How big and if it will really happen or bring about an end of the world 2012 doomsday are unknown.
9)Alien invasion could be devastating for humanity.

Certain 2012 predictions are associated with alien’s invasion on humanity. British physicist Stephen Hawking says aliens are out there, but it could be too dangerous for humans to interact with extraterrestrial life. Hawking claims in a new documentary titled “Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking” that intelligent alien life forms most likely exist — but warn that communicating with them could be “too risky.” Hawking believes that contact with such a species could be devastating for humanity.
Hawking’s logic on aliens is, for him, unusually simple. The universe, he points out, has 100 billion galaxies, each containing hundreds of millions of stars. In such a big place, Earth is unlikely to be the only planet where life has evolved. While predictions about the future are very difficult, we can say that there are no present indications that an alien invasion is expected at any time in the future. It would be difficult for an alien life form to travel through space and arrive at Earth in force sufficient to mount an invasion.

Bible prophecy: the Rapture is an End Time.

According to Bible Pestilence, famine, war, and natural disasters will purge humanity before Jesus’s returns for the final battle between good and evil. According to the Christian beliefs, on the day of final judgment the destruction or dissolution of the world would happen. Revelation 13 says an Antichrist will usher in the last days. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 Angels will gather believers from all four corners of the world and will Join Christ above.
This is known as the Rapture and according to Revelations 20 this will be the start of Christ’s thousand year reign on Earth. According to some evangelicals, the Rapture is an End Times event when born-again Christians will be “caught up” into the air and meet Christ in the clouds, as described in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 . 2033 is believed by many to be the 2000th anniversary of the crucifixion of Christ and a possible date for his return signaling the end times. Different denominations often have different ideas of the end of the world but the essential core Christian belief is that those who accept Jesus as their savior will join God in Heaven either upon death or the ending of the world.
Buddhism End of World Beliefs:
a cycle of creation
Buddhists believe in a cycle of creation and destruction and so though the earth will end it will be reborn in again in a golden age. Everything is Impermanent.
Islam End of World Beliefs:
The Day of Judgment
Though the Quran does not give specifics, there are many signs given to show the end times are approaching.
In Islam “the Day of Resurrection” or “the Day of Judgment”, Allah’s final assessment of humanity, is preceded by the end of the world. The Earth will experience a big earthquake that will cause mountains to crush down, the Earth’s inner body will break out and the Earth would be stretched out. Islam teaches the bodily resurrection of the dead, the fulfillment of a divine plan for creation, and the immortality of the human soul; the righteous is rewarded with the pleasures of Heaven, while the unrighteous are punished in Hell.
Hinduism End of World Beliefs:
Yuga chakram
Hindus believe in four repeating cycles. we are currently in the last Kali Yuga which is characterized by lack of virtue but and at the end of this period, Kali will judge everyone destroying the wicked and saving the good, starting a new golden age. In Hinduism, there is no eternal damnation of souls or end times. After this evil Kali yuga ends, the next yuga would be Satya yuga where everyone will be righteous, followed by Treta yuga, Dwapara yuga and then another Kali Yuga. Thus time is cyclical and the epochs keep repeating infinitely.
Judaism End of World Beliefs:
Judaism
Jewish believe a time of peace and righteousness will come rather than an ending to the world. This period will come after a period of intense turmoil and chaos in which lawless and a breakdown in society will occur.
Are they myths or facts?
End of the world predictions has been common throughout Christianity and other religions for almost 2000 years. Thus, the public has been little to fear from prophets who predict a particular date for the world’s end.
The second looks at the history of doomsday science from the past three centuries, examining early-modern theories of global catastrophe as influenced by the religious belief in a past deluge and a future conflagration. It explores why it was that Victorian science dismissed apocalyptic discourse as unscientific, and looks into how, during the twentieth century, neo-apocalyptic theories emerged.
Predictions of doom and 2012 panics were based on nothing more than the count of years reaching 2000, and since 2000 wasn’t even the end of the millennium. The Mayan calendar appears to be the same–man imposes an artificial count on the passage of the astronomical year, but should not expect the cosmos to pay any attention.
Contrary to popular myth, the Mayan calendar does not predict disaster in 2012 or come to its final end. Rather, it is the end of a very long time period and the beginning of a new one. A planet named Nibiru is not on a collision course with Earth.
Live in the moment:
I put together various opinions in this article so that you can exercise your discretion and common sense. As far as I am concerned my experience so far abundantly made it clear that either the birth or the death is not in our hands. It is the common sense. What we can certainly do is that living in the moment enjoying life, which bestowed us everything. It is ridiculous on our part to predict the future based on our limited cognitive abilities.
Live in the moment. Enjoy the life. Observe the life around as it is not thinking about how these things were and how it can be made better.
Mindfulness, the Buddha said, acts as a check and gradually, through deepening wisdom, we can cut off the defilement’s completely. Mindfulness involves being with your thoughts as they are, neither grasping at them nor pushing them away. Instead of letting your life go by without living it, you awaken to experience.
Plan the future, but don’t live there. Because we are at our happiest when we are living life in the moment – one day at a time. If we live in the future we miss the golden moment which you can never get it again.
Life has its own mechanism of managing it, and we are not here to interfere it. We are here to enjoy or celebrate it. By experiencing the life in its totality, we can reach to its completeness or fulfillment.
