Where did the birds learn the skill of making nests? Does anybody teach them how to make a nest? It is the inherent and inborn creative capacity.

Have you observed honey comb? It is a beautiful and uniform structure of hexagonal cells of wax ? Honey comb is a marvelous engineering structure of creativity. The creative skill of bee is a response to the survival impulse for the storage of honey and to protect the eggs.

Creativity is an unlearned response, characteristic of the given species. It is a natural impulse. It is innate and inherited tendency or behavior. It is intuitive in nature occurring without conscious thought or judgment. Being creative does not come from outside. It comes from within. We are all born creative. All the species in the planet exhibit a specific characteristic for the protection of eggs or it’s off springs. Creativity is thus a survival mechanism evolved in the evolution of species.

Creativity and innovation are the behavioral response to the situation in which we are living in in. We always find a way to survive. It is necessary for well being and continuity of species. We, being highly evolved species on the planet, are born with enormous resources of creativity. If anybody tells you that the creativity and innovation are an asset of few individuals, don’t believe them. You, I and everyone possess infinite creativity and innovation within ourselves.

Although we are highly creative, yet our actions are not creative and innovative. Our creativity is in a dormant state. It is because our education system does not encourage creativity or innovation. Is it because religious gurus preaching are illogical? The environment in which we are living is not conducive for creative thinking. In our natural state, we are superior beings; this natural state was covered by religious stigma, illogical traditions and limiting social beliefs. Unless you cross these imaginary hurdles, you cannot discover your original nature. Listen to your instincts; allow your intuition to guide your activities.

Your creative ideas come from the unconscious mind. Ninety nine percent of our mental activity is unconscious. Your perceptual awareness is only a tip of the iceberg. Don’t weigh your decisions on your conscious awareness alone. If all of us continuous to follow what others saying, where is the scope for our creativity to blossom? Hence break the rules, chart unknown paths and explore new relationships. Many people in our society are half fed, scantly clothed. They are very tough and willing to work hard. Problems of society call forth a lot of creativity and innovation. Thinking beyond the habitual mode is a prerequisite for exploring our creativity and innovation. As we are born creative, let us address the problems of the society in creative ways. Let our creativity and innovation (leadership skill) blossom more profusely in our life.
